An important staple for any man is the watch. Watches are a timeless institution of the wardrobe of any man.I know most of us check the time on our phones but a gentleman should always be strapped with a watch.
You can't just wear any watch though. You need something bold, but not too flashy. Certain watches are also right for certain times. I'll help you pick the right one for the right scene.

The Strap - You want something that will catch people's eye but in a subtle way. I like to go for watches with a leather strap. I usually stay away from the generic metal strap ones with the boring faces. You know the ones I mean, they usually have them on the counter at CVS when you are paying for stuff. Go with the leather strap, and to change it up get a strap with a bold color. Most straps are black or brown. Try a color like blue or red. It changes up the look of the watch completely. 
The Face - The face of the watch is also an important feature to think about. Pick a watch with a face that has a distinctive color. Change it up from the normal silver or black background. I love a watch with a red face. I also particularly like softer colors like champagne. It gives the watch a very smooth look. Plus who has a champagne colored watch?
The Design - Apart from simple things like just color and strap choices, a watch with a cool design is always a plus. Watches with funky designs like a turn table or boom box always catch peoples eyes. It's just a more interesting watch to look at. Try finding a watch that isn't a normal circle. It will stand out more.
Digital - Now I don't usually wear digital watches. I prefer the old school hour and minute hand but some watches make the exception. A new watch has emerged on the scene that has everyone rocking them. The G-Shock is a fresh watch no lie. It comes in a bunch of different colors which makes them the new highly sought after watch. Be careful though. These watches may be a little too popular. If you rock one you run the risk of wearing the same watch as another person at whatever function you are at. Not a Good Look... It's a fresh watch nonetheless.
